Go Carts

Chapter 64 Amusement Ride Safety Standard for Go Cart Operations 307-3-313 Annotated Code for Maryland.

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Use of a go cart when under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
• Bumping go carts together;
• Smoking in or around any area posted with a non smoking sign;
• Weaving, cutting off, or horseplay on the track.
• Loose clothing shall be secured.
• Hair that is shoulder length or longer shall be tied back.
• Seat belt restraining devices shall be worn until the attendant instructs you to release the safety seat belts when the last go cart returns to the pit area.
• Both hands shall be kept on the steering wheel when the go cart is in operation.
• Both feet shall be kept in the go cart at all times.
• Except for our double go carts that are designed for two people, only one person may occupy each cart. The driver of a go cart with two people must be at least 18 years of age or the legal guardian of the passenger. Passengers must be 40 inches tall.
• Remain seated inside the go cart with seat belts fastened until directed by the operator.

If you do not understand or cannot hear the operator's instructions, you must hold up your right hand to ask the operator for instructions.

Track Warning

• Passengers may ride in the double go carts but must be 40 inches and posses upper body control.
• Passing is allowed, but no bumping.
• A warning will be issued for any bumping. A second warning is grounds for removal from the track. There are no refunds.
• The brake is on the left and the gas is on the right.
• If your go cart stalls, please raise your hand for assistance.
• Please observe traffic signals - Green means "GO," Yellow means "Caution," or slow down, and Red means you are on the last lap.
• Enter the pit area slowly and please remain seated until the attendant tells you to exit to the rear.
• Anyone not observing the rules of the track will not be permitted to ride for the remainder of that day.
• Please review the posted regulations and listen to the audio messages to insure a safe ride. Its your operational responsibility.
